The City of Defiance / Pontiac Park and the Public Library

The City of Defiance is located along the Maumee and Auglaize Rivers in northwest Ohio.

The Public Library and the scenic Pontiac Park look across from each other on the Maumee River. Pontiac Park is a nice spot for relaxation with lots of beautiful flowers and benches that overlook the river. The park stretches from the Clinton Bridge to a dock that sits across from the edge of old Fort Defiance with large open spaces and a beautiful gazebo.

The Library used to be the location of Fort Defiance, which is where Defiance gets its name. The surrounding space is beautiful with a special section dedicated to the Fort led by Anthony Wayne in battle.
